Our Selection and Training Process Ensures Top-Quality Instructors
Before teaching a single course, our instructors must pass a rigorous selection and training process to prove they can deliver superior quality Learning Tree training.

1 Interview
First, we interview candidates to ensure they have strong communication skills so they can pass along their expertise effectively.

2 Author Interview
Next, the course author takes all candidates through a detailed checklist to make sure they have both the technical expertise and practical work experience necessary to teach the course.

3 Train-the-Trainer Program
All candidates then go through our intensive Train-the-Trainer program where they learn the latest techniques in Active Learning. To graduate, they must deliver three course presentations and receive excellent evaluations.

4 Course Audit
Successful candidates next audit the course they will teach, and present part of the course for evaluation by the senior instructor for an assessment.

5 Co-Teach
The most successful candidates then co-teach a course with an experienced instructor acting as their mentor. They present half or more of the course for evaluation by the senior instructor.

6 Solo Teach
Finally, the candidate is assigned to a solo teach. Course attendees complete detailed evaluations of all instructors, and these are used to pinpoint ongoing development activities that constantly improve their scores.

7 The Result
The average Learning Tree instructor receives a grade of 3.80 on a 4.00 scale, so you receive training from the highest-quality instructors available anywhere.

Diane has 22 years of diverse experience in improving the performance and business results of organizations and individuals. In one of her largest assignments, she helped increase job productivity 28% inside a major financial services company through a comprehensive realignment of the organization. This required her to define and guide the implementation of workflow modification and job redesign, and to ensure the success of the realignment by developing and delivering appropriate training. As founder of DB Consulting Partners LLC, she helps others create effective networks and business strategies that focus their competitive advantage and align with the needs of their stakeholders. In this capacity, she has worked with leaders of Fortune 100 companies, including American Express, Chubb Insurance, GE and AIG. She has a BS degree in Business Psychology, an MBA, and has completed her EdD in Adult Learning and Leadership from Teachers College at Columbia University.
