What is this course about?In this course, you prepare for and take the EXIN Information Security Foundation (ISF) exam based on the ISO/IEC 27002. You gain the skills to investigate the complexities of threats and risks in your organization, explore the components of a robust security infrastructure that responds effectively to security incidents, and identify security countermeasures for use against a wide range of malware attacks. ISO/IEC 27000 compliant. ISO/IEC 27002 (which is the portion of the standard that deals with Code of Practice) is built around the underlying recognition that people, not standards, manage Information Security. ISO/IEC 27002 provides best practice guidelines for those who initiate, implement and maintain Information Security Management Systems. The 27002 standards emphasize customer needs, expectations and improving business performance through servicing the customers.
In order to achieve ISO/IEC 27000 compliance, your organization must undergo an extensive application process. Organizations that have trained staff and/or employees who are certified on portions of the ISO/IEC 27000 standard will reach certification easier and faster.Does this course offer practice exams?Yes. Question drills are held throughout the course and total more than 200 example questions and scenarios. Your score for the practice exams is given immediately afterward and is followed by a detailed review. Altogether, more than 300 sample exam questions are available to attendees.Is the exam offered at the end of the course?Yes, as an EXIN-accredited Examination Center, the Information Security Foundation (ISF) exam is offered at the end of the course.What is the format of the exam?The exam consists of 40 single-answer, multiple-choice questions. The minimum passing score is 65 percent (26 out of 40 correct answers). The exam is closed book.How soon will I get my test results?Exams are returned to EXIN for grading within 24 hours of completion. EXIN will send test results directly to those who have taken the examination in about two weeks.What if I do not pass the exam? Can I retake it?Yes, you can retake the ISF exam. Contact Learning Tree for information on retaking the exam.Is this an official EXIN exam?Yes, this course and the exam are EXIN-approved and certified for ISO/IEC 27002.Is this a technical course?No. The goal of this course is to create an awareness of each individual's responsibility in maintaining the reliability and the value of a company's information assets.
