Program Description
SQL Server 2008 provides a robust platform that enables organizations to run their most demanding, mission-critical applications. SQL Server 2008 extends the features of SQL Server 2005 and improves application development time and cost management. As a result, there is a great demand for professionals who are skilled in administering SQL Server 2008.

Three Core Courses
In this course, you gain a solid foundation for managing and supporting Windows Server 2008. You acquire the knowledge needed to set up and administer Domain Controllers to build a reliable Active Directory, configure server and workstation settings with PowerShell and Group Policies, and secure file system resources. You also gain the skills to create and maintain Organizational Units (OUs), users and groups, and streamline administration with virtualization, Remote Desktop and Server Core.
 
In this course, you gain a solid foundation on which to build essential SQL Server development and administrative skills, including creating databases, generating Transact-SQL statements and implementing security. You learn to retrieve and manipulate data with SQL queries, integrate SQL Server with .NET, Microsoft Office, and XML, secure and monitor databases with Management Studio, and replicate data over multiple servers with merge replication.
 
This in-depth course provides extensive experience using SQL Server 2008 tools to perform real-world administrative tasks. You learn to create and manage databases and transaction logs, develop a backup and recovery strategy, and manage complex multi-step jobs with SQL Server Agent.

Elective Courses

Each Certification Program involves the successful completion of four courses - three core courses, plus one elective course, and their associated examinations.

Certifications are FREE. Exams are offered on the last day of each course. Transfer credit is available.
